A great example of one of these enterprises was when we were asked by Sorrento Retirement village to create a new perforated metal letterbox for them and their residents, and we did not take the challenge lightly!
An all-round service
The Sorrento Retirement Village is a safe and loving community for those who are at the stage in their life where they need a little extra looking after, and the village strives to be homely and comfortable as well as servicing the practical needs of its inhabitants. When their old timber letterbox began to wear out, they knew they needed a solid new one to replace it, as these residents take their post very seriously! In case they needed a comprehensive service, where we were to design, create, and install a new perforated metal modular letterbox for the whole village using our turret punching equipment.
Creating a unique metal design
This was a fun challenge for the experienced team here at Acorn Metals, as we had to engage the use of a range of machinery and equipment to bring this new letterbox to life. The first step was to prepare the initial design, and work with the requirements of the retirement village to ensure we delivered the desired amount of letterbox units. Once approved we moved on to transforming the design into one suitable for a perforated metal product, which we then applied using our highly accurate turret punching machinery. The final stages of powder coating and the installation topped off a successful project.
